💵 Households whose homes were destroyed or deemed a total loss in the Aug. 1 fires can now apply for a one-time $10,000 Karen Worthy Memorial Wildfire Grant. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the fund aims to distribute the money by Nov. 1.

🏠 Spokane issued its first rebuild permit after the Spokane Complex fires just two days after receiving the application. The city is also charging affected homeowners $35 for demolition permits and waiving processing and technology fees.

🌲 Bowl and Pitcher and the Equestrian Area reopened for day use and camping at Riverside State Park. The Centennial Trail also reopened between T.J. Meenach Bridge and Equestrian Lane, though visitors should still check current closure maps before heading out.

🚌 Spokane's proposed Division Street overhaul is moving toward City Council review. The city plan focuses on walking, transit, and housing, while STA's related bus project is in design for 2028 construction. An end-of-October vote is expected after public comment.

⚽ Spokane Velocity erased an early deficit with three unanswered goals to beat Westchester SC 3-1 on Saturday. The comeback gave Spokane its second road victory of the season.
