Good morning, Spokane!
If your ears are still ringing from F-16s screaming overhead this weekend, you're not alone. Between SkyFest rattling windows across the West Plains and Velocity FC rattling AC Boise's cage at ONE Spokane Stadium, this city brought the noise.
Today's looking partly sunny with a high near 73, so ease into the week before the rain sneaks in tonight.

Weekend Roundup
✈️ Tens of thousands of people flocked to Fairchild Air Force Base this weekend for SkyFest 2026, the Inland Northwest's premier air show celebrating America's 250th anniversary. Highlights included the F-16 Viper Demo Team, a heritage formation featuring one of only three airworthy B-17 Flying Fortresses, and an 83-year-old veteran who became emotional watching the historic aircraft fly.
⚽ Spokane Velocity FC jumped into second place in USL Cup Group 1 with a 2-1 win over AC Boise on Saturday at ONE Spokane Stadium. Defender Camron Miller broke the scoreless deadlock in the 71st minute with a header off a corner kick, and the club is now just one win away from advancing to the knockout round for the first time in franchise history.
🦸 The 20th annual Lilac City Comicon wrapped up its two-day run at the Spokane Convention Center with an estimated 10,500 fans over the weekend. This year's guest lineup featured Tara Sands (voice of over 50 original Pokemon characters), wrestling legend Rob Van Dam, and Ramones drummer Richie Ramone.
🏅 Spokane got some big international news: the Egypt national soccer team is officially using Gonzaga's Luger Field as their FIFA World Cup base camp, with the squad (including superstar Mohamed Salah) staying at Northern Quest Resort through the tournament. Fans can enter a lottery for limited tickets to an open training session this Wednesday.
