🍴 Crave! NW turned Riverfront Park into a three-day feast this weekend, with 15 to 20 chefs cooking each night alongside 30 more vendors pouring local beer, wine, and spirits. Co-founder Adam Hegsted pitched it as a showcase for the region's independent restaurants, with themed nights running Thursday through Saturday.

🛒 The Valley is getting a Trader Joe's. The cult-favorite grocer plans to open by Halloween at 13414 E. Sprague Ave., taking over the old Shopko building that has sat empty since 2019. It will be the fourth Trader Joe's in the Inland Northwest.

⚾ The Spokane Indians walked it off Saturday, beating the Everett AquaSox 6-5 in 10 innings when Ethan Hedges scored on a 30-foot bunt single. The win pushed the Indians to 15-8 and sole possession of first place in the Northwest League's second half.

⚽ Spokane Velocity FC made it two straight, shutting out the Richmond Kickers 2-0 on the road. Both goals came in the first half, including a strike from Ibrahim Janis Covi, and held up through a 30-minute weather delay to move Spokane to 8-6-2 in USL League One.

🌻 A bit of history: on this day in 1976, the Earthlife Festival and Farmers Market debuted in a brand-new Riverfront Park with folk music, crafts, and produce, and some farmers sold out before day's end. Fifty years later, the park is still where Spokane gathers.
