Good morning, Spokane!

Spokane has reached that sweet handoff when summer starts sharing the keys with fall: peaches are still ripe on Green Bluff, while hockey is already back on arena ice. Pick the version of late August you want and go enjoy it.

In today's Spokane Pulse:

  • Watch the Chiefs' next wave compete for a training-camp title

  • Catch John Mulaney or two stadium nights of outdoor comedy

  • Pair Green Bluff peaches with free family fun in the Valley

  • And much more!

Let's get to it.

All Weekend Long

🏒 Spokane Chiefs Training Camp Sixty-eight players compete in free Friday and Saturday scrimmages, then Sunday's 8:30 AM placement game and 11:00 AM Red-White championship at Numerica Veterans Arena; arena parking costs extra.

🍑 Peach Party Weekends Beck's keeps peach season humming Saturday and Sunday with fresh fruit, treats, U-pick when crops allow, and afternoon music at its Green Bluff farm.

😂 Great Outdoors Comedy Festival ONE Spokane Stadium hosts Matt Rife on Saturday and Bill Burr on Sunday, with both outdoor programs starting at 7:30 PM.

Join us this Saturday, August 29th at Silverbeard's Marina for live music on Newman Lake. Liam Russell is playing from 6 to 9pm. He's a blues-rock guitarist out of Chewelah who's put in his time on the Seattle scene with bands like Restless Breed and The Smoking Amish, and his solo set leans on classic rock and country with a few of his own songs mixed in, including "Lonely."

Admission is free. Find us at 12515 NE Newman Lake Drive and come catch the show on the water.
